By utilizing different online Learning Management Systems, Steepletown allows GED Preparation participants to learn at a balanced pace. Guidance and support are offered through the guidance of the Education Coordinator, a certified teacher with additional support from tutors and a personal Youth Advocate.  The pass rate of students taking GED tests at Steepletown is currently 85%

To be eligible participants must be, Youth/Young Adults 17 – 24 years old and living in Kent County.  For those eligible, the enrollment information for the GED Program is as follows…

  • Attend an information Session:  Information sessions are are offered every Thursday at 10:00 am at Steepletown Neighborhood Services
  • Bring the following documents with you to orientation:  Photo ID, Birth Certificate, Social Security Card, Proof of Address, and Proof of Income (a recent check stub for your household)
  • Attend Orientation Week:  Orientation is offered during the first full week of each month on Monday – Wednesday from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  All three days must be attended.

The GED Lab is open Monday – Thursday for two different Sections:  Section 1 runs from 9:00 am – 12:00 Noon.  Section 2 runs from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
