2017 Neighborhood Recognition Award Nominations
This award is presented to a resident, community-based organization/staff member, or locally owned business/business owner that has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to the well-being of those who live on the lower West Side of Grand Rapids, and has made a significant contribution toward a quality of life that is marked by dignity and hope.
Each year, Steepletown invites members of the wider Steepletown Neighborhood to nominate those individuals, organizations, and businesses who meet the following criteria:
- Compassion: Shows exemplary concern for the overall quality of life on the lower West Side of Grand Rapids, especially those most vulnerable and struggling.
- Involvement: Actively participates in efforts that focus on bettering the lives of those living on the West Side.
- Advancement: Advocates for and pursues creative solutions that seek to develop a stronger community.
